UPDATE 3: After having no luck with a fully modded game, started to gradually activate mods again. For a moment I wanted to pin the blame on TES5Edit but now I know that's not the cause. Then, created a new fully modded game, and no soul chow for me. Created a new barebones game, and at last, I'm having some dragon spirit chow. Wish I knew which those were, but I had cleaned my master files using TES5Edit, so I thought I had screwed up something there. UPDATE 2: Verifying the game cache integrity turned up 3 corrupted files.

  • Turned the overgrown lizard into charred meat.
  • Started a new game, created a vanilla Nord character.
  • Disabled ALL the mods, save for Alternate Start for quicker starts (and yes, this includes USKP, UDGP and UDBP).
  • UPDATE: There is something seriously broken with my game itself. Disabling that mod didn't get me anywhere, but scripts are baked into saves (right?), so in theory I have to (cringes) restart the game to be absolutely sure.

It might be mucking up things some, but I can't tell.

I read somewhere that No Spinning Death overwrites a script related to dragon death. (ducks in preparation for the coming brick) Odd thing is, I was playing with a very similar list before installing Dragon Combat Overhaul and Succubus Race, but deactivating either won't get me anywhere.ĭone some digging on the Nexus and Steam forums. Mind you, I got a TRUCKLOAD of mods installed. Fixit would be even better, but either will do nicely.) I can't absorb dragon souls, and yes, I've been through almost every thread there is here on the answer. And I hate having followers set to essential.Anyone around coy with being Mr. But followers are practically a necessity to fight dragons, especially for more melee characters. They will get knocked a mile into the air, land and die and I won't even be able to find the damn body because it landed in the Reach when we fought the dragon in the Rift. If I don't leave set followers to essential, they die with this mod installed and we fight a dragon. What do you do when this happens (besides piss yourself)? Also, am I just bugged or do these reinforcement dragons not give dragon souls if you actually kill them?įollowers. But tactics get flung out the window when the dragon you're about to defeat calls down 5 buddies to gang up on you. Outside of building an UBER character, DCO (with DD) requires some use of tactics to fight and defeat. How do you deal with it when dragons fling you a mile away and you die when you land? More specifically, how do you deal with it when encountering dragons on mountains or high perches where there is little/no room to run and dodge their landing? But first, I decided to see if people have solutions to my biggest qualms with this mod. So as much as I like this mod (I've been using it for a year+), it has some serious issues and am considering leaving it out of future playthroughs.
